On foot
From Piazza Unità d’Italia it’s about 2.1 km, around thirty minutes on foot. From Trieste Centrale railway station it’s about 1.9 km, 25 minutes. A pleasant walk away from the tourist centre, into a residential street.
By bus
The stop is about 50 metres away and served by lines 6, 9, 35, 35/, 57 and 58; at night, line B. From the centre, line 35 starts at Piazza Oberdan and line 9 runs along the seafront (Rive) and through Piazza Goldoni. The Piazza dei Volontari Giuliani stop is 200 metres away.
By car
Set your satnav to “Via Giulia 51, Trieste”. Street parking is free but not always easy to find, especially in the evening: if you’re coming for dinner, allow a few extra minutes.
